Steve of The Agency - Interview

Valdyr interviews Steve, head of "The Agency" - The Anix's Street Team.
Valdyr: Describe the evolution of the agency and the work it does.
Steve: It does its job in spreading "the sound" of The Anix and introducing people to it all the time. Just by that alone, is the agency not only doing what it was designed to do, but growing and evolving as it does.

Valdyr: What have been, from your experience, the best methods of band promotion the Agency has utilized, both online and off?
Steve: The best method of band promotion online is the official band website. It is by far the best way of getting info to people, and the ability to give anyone who checks out the site a full taste of who the band is while making them want more.
The best method offline is doing what we are as a "Street Team". Hitting the streets promoting, having that one on one contact with people. Descibing and telling someone about the band you're promoting and playing the music for them has so much more affect personally on a person then just either chatting with them over the internet, or something like that. Make them have an experience when meeting with people on the streets. They can forget about a flyer, or just throw it away, but will not be able to forget an EXPERIENCE.

Valdyr:What's been the best way you've found to organize and motivate such a large team?
Steve: Keeping everyone excited and motivated is a challange, but not when you have people that believe that this music is the shit. The music and knowing people that think the same or more about the music is motivation enough.

Valdyr: What advice would you give to street teams that are either beginning, or having issues staying active?
Steve: Never be in-active.

Valdyr: What resources would you point both street teams and bands who are looking to promote music?
Steve: The best way to get music to people, is the internet. Anything on the internet that can get people to listen to the music and have feedback from them.

Valdyr: What have been some of your best experiences as a result of being head of the Agency?
Steve: Seeing how much people enjoy and let the music become part of their lives, is by far one of the best experiences.
