Project 12:01 - Last Pharaoh

On a website such as this filled with predominantly loud, driving, and hard-hitting goth and industrial rock, Project 12:01 is the delightful darkwave ‘breather’ band. Still filled with the same themes and sounds to satisfy the goth/industrial fans, Project 12:01’s music is graceful and unique.

As you might tell from the title of this album, Project 12:01 pursues a recognizable Egyptian theme throughout their music - quite a different twist from traditional goth/industrial bands. But the effect is fitting and memorable.

Project 12:01 is catchy, driving, and simplistic in their own way. The album has a wide variety of songs, from the pulsing tempo of “Taste” to the slow laments of “Beyond These Streets”, the band has a versatile yet comprehensive style incomparable to any other band in the genre.

The band often advertises this album as a total deal, with 15 songs for ten dollars, and I have to agree this is a CD well worth the pocket change.

Suggested Tracks:
“Taste”
“Just As Sound”
“Last Pharaoh”
