ZONDUSTRIAL is Filip Abbey.

“Zondustrial” is a concept-less musical solo project by Filip Abbey, aka “AbbeyNex”. It is without concept so as not to get carried away in any gimmick, religious or political stand point. This one man driven project focuses on the inevitable raw emotions that filter through an intelligent perspective that feels a simple disgust towards the everyday gimmicks, religion, and self righteous ignorance that is found in individuals, poser bands, and the so called “moral majority”. Living in a world of such ignorance produces many creative types to vent their anger and frustrations into many forms of art. Zondustrial is the medium in which Abbey chooses to vent. This absolutely adds a very dark, angry, and aggressive approach to the given art forms of audio compositions, live performance, and video. What must be understood is that through the frustration and anger there is absolute positivity and peace. The music itself touches on agro style, beat heavy, synth and/or guitar driven industrial style music with ambient soundscapes, and 4/4 dance appropriate tunes. The artist has every intention to raise awareness and get people to rethink their positions in this life, and thereby hopes to promote a positive change in the listener. Zondustrial “is”, as simple as “being”, and to “be” is to be infinite, as all of us are in nature.

Filip Abbey may also be recognized as the bassist/drummer of Psyclon Nine, Nocturne, and the replacement of David Vincent (Morbid Angel) on bass in the Genitorturers.
